Bogies to Birdies Golf brings to the Okanagan the B.C. Optimist Clubs-"Friends of Youth" Junior Linkster Golf Tour.
This Golf Tour has an open invitation to any junior, golf membership or non-golf membership, Male or Female, ages 17 and under, to come and learn, compete, and make new friends.
The 11 tournamnet stops in the 2008 season, sanctioned by the B.C Optimist Clubs, will take the juniors from Kelowna-Westbank through the Okanagan to Kamloops. Tour stops include: Two Eagles GC and Academy, Royal York GC, Vernon G&CC, Salmon Arm Championship and Executive GC, Spallumcheen Championship and Executive GC, 19 Greens GC, Hillview GC, Mabel Lake GC, Highlands Short Game Excellence, and The Dunes.
The B.C. Optimist Clubs have provided top quality Junior Golf Tournaments for the past 36 years. The Optimist Junior Linkster Tour is important to golfers wishing to prepare for other local, provincial or national tours in B.C. Optimist JLTC (BC) Tour events are recognized in determining qualification for various prestigious junior golf events, including the Pepsi Little Peoples, US Kids Golf, Junior World, Canadian & International Optimist, BC/Washington Team Matches, Mexico, Equador, Brazil Teams and Doral Publix World's.
From the beginner golfer to the advanced golfer, Bogies to Birdies wishes to give every child the opportunity to develop a golf game which will enhance their lifestyle; potentially creating scholarships and superior life skills.
